So you know how I painted one of my necklaces with nail polish a little while ago? Well my friends, it's official: I'm now hopelessly addicted to lacquering anything and everything I can get my hands on... Inexpensive jewelry of the world beware!

I found a set of rhinestone stacking rings at H&M on sale for $2 a little while ago and practically squealed at the thought of Tom Binns-ing them up... What, that's totally a verb, right?

What DIY's are you guys gaga over these days? xx

Wardrobe Wednesday...

Photobucket

I've always admired Tom Binns and his amazing baubles, but it wasn't until last week that I realized I could recreate his Slap Dash collection with nothing but a bottle of nail polish and a cheap necklace... Mind blowing. Anyway, I quickly became obsessed, checking out practically every DIY post to ever grace the Internet - Hey, better late than never, right? This one from Make Me Sparkly was really helpful and clear, and made me seriously itch to try out this DIY for myself...

I figured Forever 21 would be my best bet for a simple, inexpensive rhinestone necklace, and low and behold, I was right... $17 later I had both a necklace AND the perfect shade of nail polish for my little project. Fist pump. Two coats of nail polish (and several bouts of lightheadedness) later, I had a Tom Binns-inspired necklace of my very own... God bless the Internet.

DIY bow headband...

I'm a big fan of DIY projects, so when I saw this PS I Made This video about making your own bow headband, I rushed to my local fabric store and gave it a try. Erica Domesek is amazing, and she has this remarkable ability to recreate virtually anything herself... and if it's good enough for Erica, it's good enough for me! This headband was super easy to make, and I had a lot of fun along the way... hmm, what else can I make?

Check out the video and let me know what you think!
