Wild Horses...

When the lovely people at eShakti offered to send me a piece of clothing of my choosing, my mind swirled with all the possibilities... Not only do they have an array of diverse offerings (there's literally something for everyone), but they let you customize everything from necklines to sleeves and back again. Not too shabby.

When I saw this skirt I knew I wanted it instantly. I love the colour, length and horse motif, which all come together to make the perfect fall skirt. My only complaint is that the colour/print only appear on the front, but that's not such a big deal.

I decided to pair my new skirt with a faux fur cowl and white blazer to keep the look chic yet weather appropriate. I can't wait to wear it with grey textured tights, ankle boots and a cozy sweater as we transition into winter... Oh, the possibilities!

Laid Back...

How do you know you have nice friends? When you pester them incessantly to take your outfit photos and they don't smack you upside the head. 8am classes, countless deadlines and opposite schedules with Mr. AIF have left me seriously mooching photos off friends these days... Shameful, I know.

Even though I have a million school and work-related things to do this weekend, I plan on making time for a couple holiday lattes, a trip to the Farmer's Market with my love and A LOT of blogging... My to-do list is growing as we speak!

Lost Summer...

Now that fall is slowly making way to winter, I can't help but reminisce about bare arms, open toed shoes and warm summer nights... These photos were taken in August when, ironically, I was yearning for cozy layers and thick tights. Go figure.

As much as I'm looking forward to the first snowfall and upcoming holiday season, I can't stand the thought of freezing cold weather and the endless heaps of snow that make up six months of the year here in Edmonton... Get ready for some snow-filled outfit shots!

Back Again...

So after spending a lovely a summer back home on the west coast, I just returned to Edmonton (my home away from home) for my final year of j-school... We walked through the door yesterday around 10:30 am, and can you guess where I was by that very afternoon? That's right, my friends - the West Ed Mall! (My home away from home away from home... if that makes any sense). Sad? Maybe, but I had missed that monstrosity of a mall more than words! True Story.

Now I don't know if it was me trying to be good or my lack of sleep, but I walked out of the mall with only one thing: a salmon coloured H&M blouse. It was super cheap ($19.90!) and proved to be the perfect top for errand-running today. I love the fit (slightly oversized) and asymmetrical cut, with the back considerably longer than the front. I had wanted a top like this all summer long, but Victoria is slightly lacking in the shopping department... *Understatement*

What can I say? It's good to be back!
