Fall-tastic...

If you're anything like me, you like to get the most possible mileage out of your clothes... Call me crazy, but I see no reason not to don a summery little floral number in mid October! Especially when such marvels as cardigans and tights are available to transition a piece from one season to the next. Just saying.

Casual Sunday...

Sometimes there's nothing better than throwing on a cozy vest, some comfy boots and going for a stroll... Add a Pumpkin Spice Latte to the mix, and you've got yourself a rocking Sunday afternoon!

These photos portray just that (minus the Starbucks, unfortunately). They were taken on Canadian Thanksgiving Sunday a couple of weekends back, when Mr. AIF and I explored the river valley before returning home to make ham (for him), nut loaf (for me) and all the fixings in between.... It was perfect.

Man, why can't everyday be Sunday? xx

Wardrobe Wednesday...

One of the best parts of fall? Besides the falling leaves, dark nail polishes and cozy layers that we all know and love, it's all about the boots in my books... There's just something intoxicating about tracking down the perfect pair, and dreaming up enough tights-dress-scarf combos to keep you dressed until spring... *sigh*

For me, it was love at first sight with these bad boys. They pretty much capture everything I want in an ankle boot (shape, colour, almond toe) for an unbeatable price... Now let's just hope I can walk in them!

little "bow" peep...

With fall officially upon us, I wanted to wear something simple, yet uber feminine today... and with the sun shining down-- for the time being at least-- this little jacket proved to be the perfect choice. It's super lightweight and obviously not equipped for chillier weather (what with half of it missing and all), so I jumped at the chance to wear it before having to transition into hard-core winter gear (and believe me, it's inevitable). I felt like a young schoolgirl again, a modern day Madeline if you will, in my little bow-adorned coat... all I need now is red hair and a yellow hat and I'm set.
