My lovely aunt from Greece sent me a couple of goodies last week, and I couldn't resist showing you guys... Aren't they cute? I'm absolutely IN LOVE with the Zara cardigan for it's rich fall colour and elbow patches, and the sandals are really sweet and unlike anything else I own... Can you say win-win? Thanks, Thea!!! xx

Hi lovelies! My day so far has been filled with errands, blackberry picking (which was fun until I stained my skirt), and catching up with a September issue (or two)... What about you?? Fill me in, please! xx

The amazingly rad people at Native Heart sent me a pair of their custom-made vintage shorts to try out, and I couldn't be more excited! Let me start by stating the obvious: micro shorts aren't exactly part my sartorial repertoire (I'm shy!), but I decided to take this opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. I know, what a concept, right? Anyway, I'm so glad that I did because not only are these shorts super badass, but they're totally unique... You see, when you buy from Native Heart, you actually get to specify how you want the shorts to look. Rips? Studs? Ombre wash? No problem! The good people at NH have you covered. Not a bad deal, huh?
And speaking of good deals, Native Heart was kind enough to send a second pair of shorts to giveaway to a lovely reader! *Fist pump* The lucky recipient will get a pair similar to my own, making them, get this, "friendship shorts." Come on, like that's not incentive enough ;)
To win, simply follow AIF on Bloglovin & Google Friend Connect, and check out Native Hearts' lovely shop. Then write me a comment telling me what your favourite item is, complete with your contact info... That's it! The giveaway will run for exactly one month, so be sure to get your entry in and check back on September 25th to see who the lucky winner is... It might be you! xx

Hello my sweets! How is everyone today? I've been sitting on these photos for several weeks now, just dying to show you my vintage cat eyes... I bought them about a month ago at Value Village (only $7.99!) and instantly fell in love with their shape and mother of pearl detailing - pretty, huh? But what with my style portfolio taking precedence one Wednesday, and a styling issue the next (two would-be posts featuring turbans in a row!), I didn't get to post these until just now... What can you do.
Happy Wednesday, my little adventurers! xx

Hi friends! Did everyone have a nice weekend? I spent the majority of mine painting/redecorating, and even though I was a sweaty, paint-covered mess for longer than I care to admit, it was totally worth it... SO. MUCH. BETTER!
Anyway, these photos were taken on Friday night (or 'date night,' if you will) while Mr. AIF and I enjoyed tasty seafood on the doc and a lovely stroll around the harbour. I decided to wear a newly-thrifted skirt (it's silk!) with my H&M bird top that never seems to get any play... It seemed like a totally good idea at the time, but let me tell you something: uber saucy food and light coloured silk DO NOT mix. Evidently my twenty-some years were not enough to impart such wisdom on me - I had to go and learn it the hard way. Typical.
Happy Monday, everyone! xx

My dad has this crazy-bright light set in the basement (why, I don't know) that inspired Mr. AIF and I to try out night photos, just for funsies. We took these on Jersday (yes, Jersday) after watching the fabulous eight make spectacles of themselves in Italy... "Twin sandwich!"
Anyway, I was reading Lou Lou at the time, and these crazy sunnies were nearby, so somehow they got incorporated as props... Because I always read Lou Lou at night with my sunglasses on, don't you? :p
A racoon stopped by to say hello during our impromptu shoot, and we heard an owl hooting away from the trees... Cool, huh? Too bad we forgot to close the front door, allowing our indoor kitten to escape into the night. Awesome. After a mini anxiety attack, we finally got the cat inside (racoon-fight free!) and resumed this silly little shoot. No biggie.
Happy Saturday! xx

Hello lovelies! How is everyone today? I was super thrilled when the lovely people at Ella+Cathy offered to send me a top to style... How sweet is that? And speaking of sweet, here it is.
I love the colour, cinched waist and frilly details that make this tank undeniably girly, yet at the same time, super versatile. Before deciding on this particular look, I experimented by pairing it with everything from jeans to skirts and back, and believe me when I tell you that it pretty much looks good with everything. Not bad for one little tank, huh?
To offset its femininity, I decided to pair my new top with tweed shorts, a denim vest and black accessories for an edgier, more urban look. What do you guys think? I can't wait to incorporate it into more looks and see how much milage I can get out of it... Long live the remix!
A special thank you to Ella+Cathy for the lovely tank top- I absolutely love it! Be sure to check out all their offerings online, and follow them on Facebook and Twitter for updates and promotions! xx

Last weekend was my cousin's wedding, and true to form, I realized I was out of pantyhose (yes, I said pantyhose) a couple of hours before the nuptials were set to start. So what did I do? Why I made a mad dash to the Bay (my trusty hosiery provider), of course! Yet in between searching for the perfect pair of Hue's, a little something something caught my eye...
I fell in love with this silver statement ring the moment I laid eyes on it... It pretty much begged me to take it home! And who am I to resist such a heartfelt plea? Because let's be serious here, for under $20, I would have been crazy NOT to have bought it... Just saying.
Have you guys made any amazing impulse purchases lately? Dish! xx
