Detailed...

Blogging in the winter is no picnic. We snapped these photos during our weekly trip to the Farmer's Market and — no biggie — but it was -20! And with that pesky windchill in effect, it felt more akin to -30. Good times.

Taking off my boring ol' parka to snap some detail shots brought several 'are you crazy' stares my way, but I didn't mind... After all, this blog isn't going to content itself, right?

A Bit of Knit...

I passed on this sweater dress the first time I saw it at Zara, but after a week of thinking about it non-stop, I knew I had to have it... And as luck would have it, I scored the last one! Must have been kismet. xx

So it wasn't until I started editing these photos that I realized my skirt is waaay too short... I don't know what to say other than Forever 21 has some deceiving change room mirrors! Or maybe I was just so enchanted by the thought of a red corduroy skirt that I didn't care. Either way, I'm thinking this skirt and I might have to part ways... Them the breaks, right? xx

I love remixing as much as the next girl, but I never really stopped to think about how often I actually do it until I took a little trip to my archives... I bought these Forever 21 tweed shorts last fall and have worn them on (and off!) the blog like a gagillion times since. I don't know what it is about them but I just keep coming back for more, regardless of the season or circumstance... Must be the measure of a good garment!

Now you all know how I feel about wearing vintage fur (and only vintage fur), so it should come as no surprise that I couldn't resist scooping up this wrap a few years ago at Value Village... It's a Hudson's Bay Company piece with the most darling vintage label and lining, and every time I wear it I try to imagine who it used to belong to. As far as I'm concerned, that's by far the best part of wearing vintage— you know, taking an old, previously-loved piece and breathing new life into it... Magic.

I thrifted this clutch last summer in Victoria for only $2.99, and so far it's been an invaluable addition to my collection. It's super roomy and versatile, and it's vibrant colour livens up any old outfit... Just look at how many times I've worn it already!
